leafFeatures

This section introduces the core features of NIN.Earth, explaining how each function works and how to use them effectively.

It provides detailed guides, practical instructions, and important notes to help users navigate, interact, and build within the Digital Earth safely and efficiently.

hexagon LAND

This section explains the basic layer of NIN.Earth, the land you can navigate, claim, and own.

It covers Tile, NFT, Domain Space, and the Digital Earth, , which together form the starting point of everything you can build inside NIN.Earth.

Tile

A Tile is the fundamental Grid unit of the Digital Earth.

The entire globe is divided into perfectly equal hexagonal Grids based on the honeycomb principlearrow-up-right, ensuring that no distortion occurs even on a curved surface.

In other words, the Digital Earth is structured so that every Tile maintains an identical area & shape across the planet Earth.

Each Tile corresponds to a real-world coordinate (latitude & longitude) and is assigned a unique Tile ID(geohasharrow-up-right).

Each Tile is priced at $5 USD (subject to platform policy).

You can select Tiles by:

  • PC: right-clicking on

  • Mobile: long-pressing on

Up to 35 connected tiles can be selected at once, allowing users to create or expand their Domain Space, but non-connected Tiles cannot be grouped together.

Key Facts

NFT

Genesis NFT @NIN.Earth

Each Domain Space is minted as an NFT on @Solana blockchain networks, representing verified digital ownership.

Your NFTs define what you own across the Metaverse.

The minting cost of approximately 0.03 SOL includes blockchain verification, metadata registration, and transaction fees required for NFT creation and account initialization(transaction) on Solana.

Key Facts

Wallet

You can do everything on NIN.Earth through your wallet, without providing any personal information.

No account or password is required — your wallet and private key serve as the only access credentials, ensuring complete self-sovereignty.

Your public key (wallet address) acts as your ID, representing both your identity and ownership within the Metaverse.

Key Facts

💡Design Rationale: Privacy-Free Metaverse

We are designed as a privacy-first Metaverse, where participation requires no personal data or account registration.

We believe identity and ownership should exist together through wallets and cryptographic keys, not centralized databases.

Your wallet address becomes your ID, ensuring full control, anonymity, and freedom within the Metaverse. Learn morearrow-up-right

Domain Space

A Domain Space is a tile or a group of connected tiles that you have purchased and officially own within NIN.Earth.

Each Domain Space is minted on blockchain as an NFT, serving as your verified Land.

Through your Domain Space, you can access and use key features:

  • connecting a Domain Name & URL

  • installing a Monument or 3D objects

  • Upload your own custom texture (image)

Up to 35 connected tiles can form a single Domain Space, and each must be renewed every 10 years to stay active.

Renewal

All selected Tiles must be "connected", and up to 35 tiles can be included in one Domain Space.

Key Facts

💡Design Rationale: Expandable up to 35 Tiles

The 35-tile limit was determined through careful consideration of our spatial design philosophy and system efficiency.

It represents an optimal balance between spatial realism, blockchain performance, and ease of management.

In scale, it roughly corresponds to the Jamsil Baseball Stadium or the Great Pyramid of Giza, embodying our vision of a single digital place that one person can truly own and express.

Digital Earth

A fully navigable, 1:1 scale globe divided into precise hexagonal Tiles.

It serves as your main interface for exploration, ownership, and spatial interaction within NIN.Earth.

The Digital Earth delivers smooth real-time rendering with accurate geo-spatial data, allowing users to pan, zoom, and explore a realistic planet Earth.

You can also move markers and access detail information (ownership data, NFT details and etc..) about your Domain Spaces.

Key Facts

💡Design Rationale: Digital Earth as our Metaverse

We chose to build a Metaverse on a 1:1 scale Digital Earth, because real geography gives digital ownership meaning.

Each coordinate ties the virtual layer to a real place, turning tiles into place-based identity.

By connecting blockchain ownership with real-world geography, we turn digital space into a meaningful extension of Earth. Learn morearrow-up-right

vr-cardboard Reality Mode

Reality Mode (AR / VR / 3D) overlays Domain Space components(Grid, Monument, 3D Objects) onto the physical world through your device’s view.

Reality Mode (AR / VR / 3D) includes toggle options that let you choose whether to display;

  • Grid

  • Gaze Ring

  • Sample Monument

This allows you to customize your viewing experience, focusing on the Grid, interaction targets, or samples as needed.

circle-check

NOTE.

Monument

The Monument consists of 2 cubes, a larger one on top and a smaller one below.

The upper cube allows users to upload any texture (image) they choose, displaying diverse artworks or personal designs.

The lower cube features the fixed NIN.Earth Logo.

Its position matches the coordinates of the Domain Space marker & 3D Objects, anchoring them precisely to the real-world location.

Key Facts

💡Design Rationale: Why we created Monument

Since ancient times, humans have left marks to prove their presence — on walls, stones, and temples.

We continues this instinct through digital Monuments, allowing anyone to leave a visible trace on the Digital Earth without building anything physical.

Each Monument becomes a silent message, an anonymous mark that connects people, memory, and geography across the world. Learn morearrow-up-right

3D Objects

In NIN.Earth, users place 3D Objects on their own Domain Spaces and begin internet activities centered on space.

The process of placing, moving, and relocating 3D Objects is experienced directly through AR / VR / 3D, allowing users to interact with and shape space-based internet activities.

Through this experience, users naturally feel and understand space-centered internet activities, and extend their experience further.

Grid

The Grid represents the boundary of your Domain Space on the Digital Earth.

If your Domain Space includes multiple tiles, the Grid appears as a single unified boundary, not as individual tile outlines.

The Grid is aligned with the exact coordinates of your Domain Space, anchored to its real-world position.

circle-check

Key Facts

Gaze ring

The Gaze ring replaces traditional clicking or tapping with view-based interaction, just like deciding whether to enter a store by looking at its sign.

It is fixed at the center of the device camera view, and activates when the camera aligns with a Monument.

When centered on the upper cube, it opens the linked URL; when aimed at the lower cube, it displays Domain Space information.

circle-check

Key Facts

💡Design Rationale: Gaze as the Interface of the Metaverse

We redefines interaction by turning reality itself into a digital interface through Monuments and Gaze ring.

A single gaze ring can open links or reveal information, transforming physical locations into portals of the Domain Space.

This approach merges real-world geography, AR, and Internet(web) connectivity, creating a seamless bridge between the physical and digital worlds. Learn morearrow-up-right

Samples

The Samples let users experience our AR environment even without owning a Domain Space.

It allows you to spawn a Monument and 3D Objects at your current location, offering a visual preview of how digital elements blend with the real world.

This feature helps newcomers take their first step into the NIN Metaverse, seeing how presence & creativity appear on the Digital Earth through AR / VR / 3D.
